Curriculum

  • Since April 2022: PhD at the Chair of Chemistry of Biogenic Resources

 

  • October 2019 to March 2022: Master’s degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Hamburg University of Technology.
      • Topic of the master thesis: “Integration of glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase and phosphatase into Clostridium pasteurianum for the bioconversion of glucose to 1,3-propanediol”.

 

  • October 2016 to September 2019: Bachelor’s degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Hamburg University of Technology
    • Bachelor thesis topic: “Implementation of an activity test for a whole cell biocatalytic butane oxidation”

Research

I work with enzymatic cascades in vivo and in vitro to utilize hydrogen and C1 molecules like CO2 and convert them into important chemicals. For this, I design the cascades, characterize the needed enzymes and optimize the system altogether.
