Research
My work focuses on the identification and characterization of novel enzymes for the regeneration of nicotinamide-based cofactors. Various protein engineering strategies are used to improve the properties of these enzymes. The ultimate goal is the integration of suitable enzyme candidates into multi-enzymatic cascades for the production of fine chemicals from natural resources.
