Research
I specialize in studying PHAs, which are a type of polyester that can be produced through fermentation using sustainable resources. Our main objective is to discover new enzymes that can synthesize PHAs and address the limitations found in current PHA materials. To achieve this, we employ techniques such as enzyme engineering, bioinformatics, and metabolic engineering. Our research is conducted in close collaboration with our project partners, and our focus is guided by the desired properties of the resulting materials.
